I’m Vikraman. I am a first year MS Robotics student in UMich, and I am from a CS background. The transition to robotics is honestly a little scary.
I like reading research papers and picking it apart with half-baked knowledge, like an amateur film critic’s disdain for a mainstream movie. What I struggle with is committing to actually reading one. So I’m starting an informal robotics paper reading group, to create an accountable environment.
I’m mostly into 3D perception, SLAM, and robot learning, but the group isn’t limited to those. Creating a space to share our opinion as aspiring researchers/engineers is my goal.
